Hi! You’ve walked right smack-dab into the middle of the very first day of the very first Haiku Week here at the ol’ homestead. I thought it’d be fun to just close my eyes and open a book and point and let whatever word my finger landed on be the word that inspires our haikus; that is if You want to play! Feel free to leave haikus, long poems, regular comments or non-related comments or if You’re just silently trailing Your lovely energy through the room–that’s cool too!
So I decided to use my favorite book, ‘The Gift’ by Hafiz (translated by Daniel Ladinsky). Picked it up, shut eyes, ran finger, looked….and nothing. My finger was on a blank spot and the word ‘nothing’ shouted hello. So:

Thank You for stopping by. You’re Perfect! Cheers, Namaste….and…
You’re It!:

Well. So much has been said already Miss Bliss. I need to get here quicker it seems, but I have SUCH a long way to come ! I simply like the light and shade your words paint.
I love that You come all the way across the planet to say anything You feel like saying! Whew! You’re always a joy. Thank You and Cheers!
I’m a silent follower who oly leaves comments, I’m not creative like that.. But girl I love your blog its so refreshing.
I love that You’re here!
Thank You! I know haiku week’s not for everyone…I’ve been on this haiku trip everywhere else but here at ‘home’, so I figured I’d dance it here a bit…it seems to be doing a bit of a jig…:)
My brain can think no more today – I just wanted to touch base and send love!
Bonne nuit, fais de beaux rêves….à demain, Bliss
xo Sandy
Ew! Ah! She speaks French. Sigh. I don’t even know what You’re saying but I’m swooning! I once even dated a French man for a couple of weeks just because I LOVED hearing him talk talk talk. So….Brilliant! Bravo! and Thank You, Mon Ami!
morning ms Bliss….eh sweet dreams to you
nothing = negativity in my dawg world
i choose to believe that nothings will eventually become some things; even meaningful things
chikisses
A million quadrodillion times a katillion to the infinite power a grabazowee Beautiful Somethings to You Lovely Coco!!! Chikisses right back at You! I guess I should really write, peokisses back at you, but that sounds like peekisses, and ….. I dunno.
with the crack of guns,
the rising menace of sheep
is soon neutralized.
a blank spot and the word nothing? hey that’s where I live.
OH NOOOOOOOOO!!! :0 Not the sheep again! Dangerous, dangerous world for our fluffy amis! I like the haiku though, and ya know…..blank spot/word nothing sounds a bit familiar to me as well….:) Thanks and Cheers!
Nothing is as nothing seems.
That is mega cool. Spins my brain. I really like it…Thank You!
I guess if nothing is nothing that we should do
Then nothing is nothing I have to say to you
Then I will do nothing and speak to the wall
Then I will see if I will survive or fall.
Nothing sure gets me into trouble!
LOL
Brilliant! Bravo! Thanks for the just before bed laugh!
Anytime!:)
nothing paints the sky
on a cloudless empty day
like visions of you
Cool beans, that was fun! I’m going to run to my corner and post it. See you tomorrow!
Oh…that’s so lovely!!! Thank You! This is so cool!
Ooh I’ll play! Inspired from Leo Buscaglia’s Papa My Father. First word I saw was “box.”
black and white photos
ventriloquists in a box
whisper of the past
You and Ichabod have given my brain a good workout.
Thanks for the inspiration, Bliss. Now I have a post for today:)
I love Your haiku! How Cool! Thanks! I look forward to see what You’re up to…Cheers!
Hi miss bliss;
nothing is
not nothing
nothing does
not exist
nothing is
a word for
something
we cannot
describe
even the black void
of space
which used to be
nothing
is filled with
a plasma like
something
so every nothing
we express
is a something
we cannot express
the beauty of nothing
is it gives substance
to something
when you offer
someone a penny
for his or her thoughts
and the reply
“nothing” is heard
you know it’s something
Good night miss bliss. Thank you for the challenge
I LOVE this Sir Ichabod. I know I keep mentioning Alan Watts, but he talks a lot about what you wrote about. You can’t have nothing without something and vice versa. It All gives a frame of reference and each needs the other to define it. Thank You for the lovely send off into night time!!! Cheers and Namaste.
Thank you for visiting my blog and the lovely comment! I truly appreciate comments like yours! I am silently following for now~ But thank you~
Hello! I loved Your blog. Your dog is gorgeous, and any friend of Coco’s is a friend of mine!
I’m honoured that you’re here! Namaste:)

Oh! I’ll be right over!!!
